Keep in mind that during the rusting process the rust can stain the substrate, so handle with gloves on to avoid staining and avoid placing directly on wooden decking or tiling to avoid discolouration of the substrate. To speed up the rusting process, you can spray salt water on the product. What you plant outside must be able to withstand both sun, rain and wind, which makes corten a perfect material for it! If you have the corten steel indoors, it will not rust.
